Normally, a distribution from your IRA is taxed as ordinary income. If you are age 70½ or older and interested in reducing your taxable income, please consider making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) contribution to the Parish. Federal tax law allows eligible individuals to satisfy all or a part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and help sustain the work of the Parish through a QCD. These distributions are tax-free as long as they are paid directly from the IRA to an eligible charitable organization.
